For Love or Money
This is a question I ask myself often – and too often, the answer is money. One thing (along with the many) I think we realize as we get older, is the importance of doing things for love. Playing with our kids, volunteering, helping, spending time with our friends and family, these start to become more and more valuable in time. While the joy that comes with money is nice, it’s not sustaining. Doing things for love, is a lasting happiness that can live for ever.
Decide: One thing that has helped me grow in my peace and purpose is actively focusing less on doing things for money, and more on doing things for love. This is why I like to decide before hand why I’m going to do something – if it’s for love pursue it, if it’s for money, really evaluate it and decide if it’s really worth it.
Patience: Why we do things and what we do them for is a very long and important question to ask ourselves. When we realize that doing things for love instead of money is a much more lasting satisfaction, we have gained a better piece of the life puzzle. Unfortunately it sometimes takes us a life time to figure this out.

I guess the perfect world is where we can be doing what we love for money!
I really like the important point about deciding what you are really in ‘it’ for. It’s amazing how much more you can take from doing something from the bottom of your heart rather than hoping to fill up to the top of your wallet.
I think that if we are doing something we love, money can and will most often follow. But the important thing is to take money out of the equation and focus just on what we love. I find that the more I focus on what I love, and do what I love, money does usually follow in some capacity.
